Yag_group_shot.jpg The aim of the cadets organization is:
  1. To develop in youth the attributes of good citizenship and leadership
  2. To promote physical fitness
  3. To stimulate the interest of youth in the sea, land and air activities of the Canadian Forces

Cadets is a national organization for youth aged 12 to 18. As part of the Sea Cadet program, UNDAUNTED provides exciting opportunities and challenges for today's youth. The Sea Cadet program is sponsored in partnership by the Department of National Defence and the civilian group the Navy League of Canada. Cadets are not part of the Canadian Forces, nor is there any expectation for them to join the military.

"Many people think of Cadets as preparation for a career in the military, but it is really about preparing for life; about developing the skills, the qualities and the confidence that will allow these young people to prosper and contribute to the Canada of tomorrow."

- Art Eggleton, former Minister of National Defense
